Overview
Laser / Welding Fume Extraction
GPC's Laser and Welding fume extractors are air filtration systems designed to capture and remove hazardous fumes, smoke, and fine particles generated during processes such as welding (MIG, TIG, and stick), laser cutting and engraving, plasma cutting, and other thermal metal operations.
These fumes often contain harmful substances including metal oxides like iron, chromium, and nickel, as well as toxic gases and ultra-fine particulate matter that can penetrate deep into the lungs.
These systems work by first capturing fumes as close to the source as possible using extraction arms, hoods, downdraft tables, or enclosed machine systems.
The contaminated air then moves through primary filtration, typically using cartridge or bag filters to capture fine dust, followed by secondary filtration such as HEPA filters for very fine particles. The cleaned air is either recirculated back into the workspace or discharged safely outside.
These systems are widely used in manufacturing and fabrication environments, laser cutting facilities, automotive and aerospace industries, shipbuilding, and general workshops.
How it works
From fume generation at the torch to filtered, compliant air.
Source capture
Arms, hoods or enclosed tables positioned at the fume source
Multi-stage filtration
Cartridge or bag filters with optional HEPA for fine particles
Safe discharge
Cleaned air returned to workspace or exhausted safely outside
Workshop installation
Protect workers from metal fumes and ultra-fine particulate
Welding and laser cutting generate harmful metal oxides and sub-micron particles. GPC extractors capture contaminated air at source through arms, hoods or downdraft tables — then filter through cartridge or HEPA stages before safe discharge or recirculation.
Source Capture Design
Extraction arms, hoods and enclosed systems close to the fume source.
Primary & Secondary Filtration
Cartridge or bag filters with optional HEPA for ultra-fine particles.
Recirculation or Exhaust
Cleaned air returned to workspace or discharged safely outside.
Multi-Process Coverage
Suited to welding, laser cutting, plasma cutting and thermal operations.
